The QQI (FETAC) Level 5 Healthcare Support Certificate is the minimum standard required to work as a
Healthcare Assistant under current HIQA guidelines. The purpose of this award is to enable the learner
to acquire the knowledge, skill, and competence to work under supervision in providing support in a
variety of Healthcare settings. Completing this award may allow participants to progress to further and or
